GLOMA®, Lda was founded in 1997 by the parents of the current managing partners, Ulisses Mota and Glória Mota, as a way to solve the unemployment situation they found themselves in.

The company intended to respond to an emerging need of the Textile Market: the painting of small accessories.

The initial installations, with about 30m2 and a production of 30,000 buttons painted per month, in a few years evolved into a warehouse with 200m2 and the production of some tens of thousands of painted accessories.

In 2010, GLOMA® was transferred to the existing pavilion of 670m2 of covered area. Production at this time has already reached the billions of painted accessories per month. By 2015, the contiguous pavilion, increased the productive area of GLOMA® making a total of 1300m2. The production capacity also doubled, as well as the diversity and type of passive paint accessories.

Innovation has been a company strategy from the outset, which together with a reference supplier has resulted in a demonstrated ability to paint a variety of products.

This growth is also the result of loyalty and trust with its customers.

From the buttons, buckles, sliders, the textile sector rivets, there was expansion into other business sectors, like footwear accessories, bolts and rivets for steel construction and engineering, cutlery cables for cutlery, bottle caps, metal packaging, glass, wood, porcelain, among others.
