Newsletter nº 31

Research and development (R&D) activities are fundamental for the sustained development of a company and the provision of services that promote the satisfaction of customers’ needs and expectations.

It creates value for the company, which operates in an increasingly competitive global market characterized by strong technology development.

The GLOMA® R&D department develops projects that are based on a sample or an idea, provided by an employee, a client, a supplier, etc.

Give us a challenge and we will begin a standardized process, made up of 6 distinct stages, with the aim of achieving results:

  1. Project Opening: Internal or External Need;
  2. Inputs for the Project: Essential requirements for the product and/or service to be the subject of R&D;
  3. Planning: Research, definition of actions, need for resources, responsibilities, expected deadlines and conjectured methodology;
  4. Production;
  5. Verification;
  6. Validation by the internal or external customer

The department’s activities contribute to:

  • Ensure that the supply meets customer needs and expectations, whether implicit, explicit or even unknown;
  • Determine the applicable requirements in advance and verify compliance in a timely manner, reducing the likelihood of problems occurring in later stages;
  • Improve organizational performance and increase sustainability.
